Drawing Project 5.1 - Using Absolute Coordinate Entry

AutoCAD 2012 - Learning Project - ABSOLUTE ENTRY PRACTICE

Objective: Draw an object in AutoCAD by entering the Absolute Coordinate values of the endpoints of each line.  Demonstrate understaning of the Cartesian Coordinate system as applied in AutoCAD.


  1. Download the drawing instruction sheet and open the PDF file
  2. Watch the video for directions and hints on completing the project
  3. Complete the project on your computer in AutoCAD, practicing the lesson objectives.

In this Project, you will practice using:

  • Absolute Coordinates
  • Origin
  • Ordered Pair X,Y
